Community Education

The Hub has a strong emphasis in holding space for the community to come together for very interactive education and mobilization. It is our desire to provide a platform for any and all who desire to teach, learn, and work towards just institutions and society, balanced economy, sustainable living, and local community resiliency. Through workshops, lectures, work projects, “open mic” nights, and hands on intergenerational learning we hope to give people the tools to do ongoing work together, not just learn the concepts. We do not want to just create services for people which keep them labeled and makes them “problems to be fixed.” Rather, we desire to imagine an new future of interrelatedness and work towards that.
